about

Inga Margrete Aas - double bass
Rudolf Terland Bjørnerem - electro-acoustic guitar
Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø - trombone

“A high-pitched, almost syllabic music approached and receded in the shifting of the wind, dimmed by leaves and distance.”

As deafness increases was formed in 2010, and the trio's self titled debut album was recorded during two days in Oslo spring 2013, and consists of one long and three shorter pieces. “Svalbard” was originally created to accompany a compilation of film clips made by an anonymous amateur at the arctic islands in the 1930s.

The three remaining pieces (“Adia”, “Adib” and “Adic”) explores specific musical ideas, ranging from low dynamics and extended use of silence to dense sound clusters and traces of harmony.
