about

This concert was the grand finale of a thirteen date solo tour in the UK and Ireland in April 2023. Spanning a wide range of spaces and situations, and including tons of train rides and delays, it totally lived up to be the boot camp tour I had wanted for developing my solo setup further!

Oliver (organizer) and Stuart (Diacritical Mark, who played a great set before me) joined forces to record this at the last moment. "The shoe factory" is basically a big empty industrial space, with a pretty normal reverb when playing acoustically, though with crazy fluttering reflections that could be activated and manipulated especially by punchy bass sounds. Not all the nuance of the situation made it to digital form, including the rain occasionally tapping the metal roof. But close enough for an ad hoc recording, and I'm excited to share this documentation!

** Should be played loud to get an approximation of the live sound :))

Many thanks to all the amazing people (both organizers and musicians) that shared their good vibes these two weeks in April!
